Review of Trapp Family Hotel, MonteverdeDuring our recent visit to Monteverde, the Trapp Family Hotel provided a notable blend of comfort and aesthetic charm, positioned just a 15-minute walk from the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. The hotel's elevated location offers stunning atmospheric views, a perfect backdrop after days filled with hiking. While the mountain suites were spacious, inviting, and adequately warm during the chilly nights, the absence of high-end amenities illustrates a need for evaluation amidst its pricing. The restaurant served good food-particularly the chicken fajitas and delightful pancakes at breakfast-though a few surprises, like the missing tortillas, raised some eyebrows. Housekeeping was punctual, and the staff-especially Alexandra-were remarkably accommodating, arranging excursions and ensuring our needs were met. The overall ambiance could benefit from an enhanced focus on aesthetics, as certain areas lacked the charm found in other luxury establishments. Ultimately, while Trapp Family offers a solid experience, travelers might consider balancing luxury with value by exploring additional options nearby.
